Is there a free Smalltown Boy AI video generator?
Partly. Smalltown Boy AI gives every new account one free 5-second preview of your own two photos doing the scream-and-dance — no card, no watermark on the preview, you just can't download it. A full 10-second, watermark-free MP4 is $3.99 for your first video, the lowest price of any Smalltown Boy generator we know of.
Why nobody offers unlimited free videos
Every Smalltown Boy video is rendered by a video model on a GPU for several minutes. That costs real money per clip, so sites either charge per video, sell subscriptions, or hide a watermark and a sign-up wall behind the word "free". A free preview that shows your actual faces is the honest version: you see the result before you pay anything.
What the free preview includes
- Your two photos, not a demo
- 5 seconds at 480p: the scream and the start of the dance
- No card and no subscription
- One per account (sign in with Google or an email link)
What $3.99 unlocks
- The full 10-second video, 720p, 9:16 vertical
- MP4 download with no watermark
- Both faces kept, same three beats as the original trend
- Automatic refund of the credits if a render fails
Free alternatives that are not AI
If you and a friend can film yourselves, a CapCut or TikTok template recreates the look for free — you do the scream, the head-clutch and the dance on camera. The AI version exists for the cases a template can't handle: two cats, your parents' old photos, a friend in another city, or you simply not wanting to film.
